Job description

Job Summary:
Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is dedicated to providing fellowship opportunities for service members transitioning to the civilian workforce through their Military Fellowship Program. As a Project Coordinator, you will coordinate project management activities, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure client needs are met as projects evolve.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information.
• Break projects into actionable tasks and set timeframes.
• Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate project execution and assign tasks to internal teams.
• Assist with schedule management.
• Ensure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
• Help prepare budgets, analyze risks and opportunities, monitor project progress and address issues that arise via proper communication and escalation.
• Act as a point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders.
• Work with the Program Manager to remove road blocks.
• Use tools to monitor and control performance, plans and expenditures.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and status reports.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
• High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 2+ years of relevant experience
• A higher level degree may substitute for experience
• Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Fundamental MS Office Skills
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Demonstrated ownership of tasks, organization skills and attention to detail
• Possess strong communication and client-facing, teamwork skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance
Preferred:
• Prior Experience with Development of proposals to include administrative tasks as assigned
• Data entry into PM Systems
• Collaborating with internal Leadership, vendors, suppliers, other stakeholders, and internal teams, such as IPT leads, CAMs, Tech Leads and PA’s to ensure program activities will accomplish objectives
• Conflict resolution especially those related to resource assignments
• Monitoring project progress against baseline schedule and facilitating process improvement initiatives
