Job description

Defiance College invites applications for the position of Assistant Director for TRIO Student Support Services (SSS). The TRIO program provides outreach and student services designed to support first-generation, low-income, and/or underrepresented students, some of whom may have documented disabilities. The primary function of the Coordinator is to serve as a Success Coach/Academic Advisor to TRIO program participants. Responsibilities will include coordinating and implementing the summer bridge program, recruiting, training, and managing student mentors; and organizing educational and cultural programming activities. You will help guide these students through their higher education journey.  


This is a 12-month, full-time, grant funded position. Applicants must have a bachelorโ€™s degree (masterโ€™s preferred) and have some administrative experience. Knowledge of leadership, event/program planning is strongly preferred. The Coordinator reports to the TRIO Director and serves as part of the Academic Success Center at Defiance College.
