What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for a Program Coordinator - Pre-production join our TPNO Toyota team in Canton, MI.
The Program Coordinator customers are Yazaki affiliates and external customers. Every task performed on this position goes to support these two groups. Program Coordinator is a cross functional position. There is a required interaction with Program Management, Core Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Distribution Center and Transportation.
What you will be doing:
  • Receive and respond to Purchase Order (PO) from customer thru order system
  • Generate internal Purchase Order and issue to Manufacturing plants
  • Daily monitoring and tracking of Purchase order from customer and Internal Purchase order
  • Use of SAP for checking carry over inventory and coordinate with PCD and DC for order pick
  • Coordinate incoming shipment from affiliates to internal departments
  • Must answer all affiliate communication (email/chat) in a 24hr period
  • Verify order status and coordinate with contacts/coworkers to resolve problem issues with customers, affiliates and internal departments.
  • Coordinate to ensure affiliate on-time delivery
  • Coordinate to ensure on-time delivery to the customers. Negotiate due-dates as required
  • Track and enter expedited freight occurrences into Beams
  • Prepare and issue "Forecast" to affiliates for pre-production order readiness
  • Collaborate with PM of any known engineering changes as they may affect "incoming" and "outgoing" shipments.
  • Determine cost responsibility and obtain authorization to issue debit and credit memos for extraordinary costs to Affiliates and/or Business Units
  • Set up and maintain information processing system (filing, paperwork flow, etc.)
  • Collaboration with Program Manager to ensure smooth flow of affiliate and customer communication regarding order and delivery
  • Prepare and issue PR/PO for packaging requirement using Coupa
  • Prepare and issue PR/PO for tooling requirement in SAP
  • Prepare/issue component Spot buy PO in SAP and coordinate to ensure ontime delivery to manufacturing or end-user
  • Preparation of departmental procedure, flowchart and work instruction.
  • Special assignments

What you will bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Previous experience with receiving orders
  • Shipping and transportation control background desired
  • Spanish speaking preferred, but not required
