Job Description
This role is responsible for providing project controls support to program and project leadership in one or more of the areas of planning and scheduling, cost, estimating, and change management/trends across a variety of programs/projects. This role documents and captures the project plan developed by program/project leadership, monitors and measures performance against the plan, and reports on key data metrics back to program/project leadership.
Job Profile Taks/Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage project controls processes, procedures, and toolsets within the project controls department, including but not limited to scoping, approval, hiring/recruiting, and managing resources and their related corporate/administrative tasks.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to project controls engineers and analysts for the effective and timely execution of tasks in hand and facilitate project controls resources' optimization to meet deadlines for deliverables.
  • Work with other project controls team members to establish, implement, and monitor best practices/guidelines related to project controls across the organization in support of current and future projects.
  • Support Business Development (BD) team/efforts with project controls needs during initial engagements with future clients, proposals, and future projects' initiation and planning phases.
  • Support program/project leadership in collecting progress and performance updates and updating schedules to reflect actual progress and changes.
  • Track and monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts for assigned program/projects.
  • Help identify project risks and support the development of mitigation strategies. Maintain risk registers and ensure timely updates.
  • Create and distribute project Key Performance Indicators (KPI), status reports, and performance dashboards to program/project leadership.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in management, business, engineering, science or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Typically, seven years of project controls and management supporting large and complex organizations/programs/projects and working within Project Management Office (PMO) environment.
  • Basic software application skills (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel).

Desired Qualification
  • PMP or AACE certification

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD
Work Site Expectations: 5 days in office
Travel Expectations: up to 25% (as needed for project assignment)
Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00am ET to 5:00pm ET, Monday - Friday
Compensation

Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:
