Job Description Summary:

The InvestX Program is a four-day immersive introduction to Cambridge Associates (CA) and the fundamentals of investment management. Participants will build fluency across client types, major asset classes, portfolio construction, and CA's research-driven approach through interactive sessions, panel discussions, case studies, capstone work, and networking with investment professionals and firm leaders.
InvestX is intended for college students interested in financial services, investing, and client work. Prior investment management experience is not required. The program is especially well suited for students who want practical exposure to the industry in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Students will have the opportunity to travel to CA's office in Arlington, VA for the entirety of the program.

Job Description:

Program Format/Location: 4 days at Cambridge Associates' office in Arlington, VA

Cambridge Associates will cover travel and related expenses. Participants will need to bring their own technology (computer, phone, etc.) to program.

Program Dates/Time: January 5 through 8, 2027; sessions will take place between 9am and 5pm, with social events following

Program Applicants: Open to all students in Classes 2028 & 2029; all majors are welcome

Required for application: Resume and written response to the following questions (no more than one page):

  • Why do you want to learn more about investment management and attend this program?
  • What classes or activities have you taken/been involved with that demonstrate your interest in the investment industry?
  • What is your most prominent attribute as a student and how will it help to add value to the InvestX Program cohort?
