ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interns will be assigned to a Content and Community Engagement specified team and will fulfill one or more of the following duties with the potential to take on additional responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to law enforcement and social-service agencies with issues related to partnership opportunities and training inquiries
- Liaise with law enforcement and social-service agencies to help access and share resources
- Organize partner information and maintain working files containing documentation of all activities
- Perform searches in open source and social media platforms
- Support with maintaining updated information in various databases
- Assist with NCMEC data projects
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Completed at least two (2) years of college with a concentration in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology or a related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrated ability to analyze written materials
- Ability to perform searches in open source and social media platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information
SALARY:
Internships are unpaid; however, Interns will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and hands-on experience and will receive academic credit through an approved program of their college/university. Interns will be reimbursed for parking or public transportation expenses.
HOURS:
The time commitment is about 15 hours per week, between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. ET, Monday through Friday; exact schedule is based on intern availability. ย Based on necessity and the intern performance, there may be the opportunity to work over the course of multiple semesters/seasons. Interns will be excused to attend internship program functions and for academic holidays or vacations.
