Jamison Professional Services, Inc. ("Jamison") is currently seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Program Analyst.
Job Title: Program Analyst
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
The Program Analysts will support VHA in the analysis and evaluation of healthcare program effectiveness. This includes program reviews requiring systematic ways of assessing the quality of current and future VHA programs to determine ways to improve programs. This includes measuring success, outcomes, and improvement programs. In some instances, the Program Analyst shall assist VHA in executing program operations to meet the previously established goals and objectives. In addition, the Program Analyst shall provide input on the program evaluation and improvement of the organization and management of projects and programs to increase productivity/program performance. The Program Analyst shall also assist VHA in the identification of program resources and assist in the development of program reports. The Senior Program Analyst shall have proven and extensive experience in a large-scale integrated Health Care System and with substantive programs focused on Veterans health care and outreach, preferred.
REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • BA/BS Degree in political science, or public administration or related field.
  • 8 years of experience working in a similar role or another relevant government position.
  • Experience in data analysis, policy research, and project management.
  • Working knowledge of PC software packages, such as Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, Access, SharePoint, various Microsoft programs, and other Business Intelligence software.
  • Experience with established program analysis principles, theories, and practices, including knowledge of various analytical techniques (audits, databases, spreadsheet/graphics analysis)
  • Working knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative data analytic methods for the assessment and suggested improvements of program effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Able to work in a team and be willing to adapt to new situations as they arise.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze program data and provide reports on performance and budget status.
  • Evaluate programs for effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and laws governing programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve program success.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, including monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Identify and resolve issues or conflicts that arise during program implementation.
  • Monitor program outcomes and make timely adjustments to improve results.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to program staff and partners.
  • Communicate program updates and results to stakeholders through written and oral presentations.
