Location: Eastcastle Place

Salary: $17.50/ hour

Position Type: Part time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and every other weekend 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We've been proudly serving seniors for over 140 years, offering a continuum of care that promotes active and fulfilling lifestyles while respecting the dignity and independence of each resident. On our team you'll be part of a remarkable organization dedicated serving our community when they need us most. We are currently looking for a Dietary Aide to join our team and help create a dining experience that nurtures both body and soul.


As a Dietary Aide, you'll be responsible for assisting in meal service and maintaining hospitality standards within the Nursing dining areas. We have 4 nursing dining areas: Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long Term Care, and Skilled Rehab. Your day to day responsibilities will include tasks like helping residents with menu selections, tray assembly, timely meal delivery, serving meals, and managing special requests. You'll work as part of a team to ensure high service standards, contribute to the training of other aides, and model the organization's values. As a member of the Hospitality department, you will work with Dietary Aides, Cooks, CNAs, Nurses, and Stewards, and report to our Certified Dietary Manager and Director of Hospitality.


What You Will Do:

  • Set tables and maintain work stations in proper order and cleanliness
  • Correctly and efficiently serve meals, take orders, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously
  • Plate according to residents meal ticket and be familiar with residents' therapeutic diets and personal food preferences
  • Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service. Wash and distribute clean dishes
  • Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in work areas and satellite kitchens, including the proper removal and disposal of all garbage and waste
  • Complete all necessary logs and quality assurance checklists as specified
  • Follow the guidance of the Dietary Manager and Hospitality Director and completing any additional tasks when requested
