At Crystal Springs in Assonet, MA, we're on a mission to provide children and adults with disabilities with individualized, compassionate educational, therapeutic, and direct care support. We also offer tuition reimbursement for waived special education teachers! If you meet the following criteria, you're eligible for reimbursement:
  • Employment as a Crystal Springs waived special education teacher
  • Enrollment in an approved educator preparation program for severe disabilities
  • Demonstration of continuous progress in second (and subsequent) years
  • Evaluation rating of "Needs Improvement" or higher in the preceding school year

Here's what to expect in this entry-level role:
  • Working with the special education teacher to support assigned students with educational, therapeutic, and direct care services
  • Gaining an understanding of the Massachusetts curriculum framework
  • Helping the teacher maintain accurate student records
  • Performing vital direct care support to assigned students, such as eating, toileting, personal hygiene, etc.
  • Discussing students' progress with the teacher and providing input during evaluation periods
  • Leading activities and performing direct care services on teacher planning days
