Job description

As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer criminal history background check, physical examination and drug screen. All employees must also submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.
Job Description:
The Program Aide plays a key role in supporting a variety of recreational programs and activities across the Unified Government Parks and Recreation Department. This position provides hands-on assistance with youth and adult recreation programs, sports leagues, community events and facility operations
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the planning and delivery of youth and adult recreation programs, including camps and seasonal events.
• Support the setup, coordination, and oversight of indoor and outdoor sports league activities
• Monitor facilities during programs to ensure safety and proper use
• Schedule and coordinate activities and facility usage as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of program participation, outcomes and attendance
• Prepare routine reports and assist with participant registration
• Support community outreach efforts to promote programs and increase engagement
• Perform general clerical duties, such as data entry, filing and responding to inquiries.
• Request and track supplies needed for various programs and events.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED and one year of related experience; or,
• ability to work with diverse age groups in a recreational setting
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
• Basic computer and administrative skills
Salary Range:
$17.25/hr.
