Responsibilities for Housekeeping Aide:
  • Perform all assigned duties in accordance with established housekeeping standards, safety guidelines, and infection control practices.
  • Clean assigned areas, including but not limited to resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, nursing stations, handrails, dining rooms, shower rooms, public restrooms, and offices.
  • Maintain utility and storage rooms in a clean, organized, and orderly condition.
  • Disinfect and sanitize equipment, furnishings, and supplies according to established procedures.
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces as assigned.
  • Clean the inside of the resident room windows, door panels, and window sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste materials to designated disposal areas.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean, organized manner, stocking necessary supplies at the end of each shift, and ensuring that chemicals not in use remain securely stored.
  • Follow all established safety precautions and manufacturer guidelines when handling and using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas of the facility maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance.
