Job description

) Villa at Green Lake Estates is seeking a Recreational Services Aide to join their team! The Recreational Services Aide assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational, physical, emotional and psychosocial programs in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan.
Recreational Services Aide Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implements activity programming as planned and assigned to meet the functional levels, needs and interests of each resident.
  • Assists residents to and from activity programs and outings.
  • Maintains good rapport with family members and encourages family support in programs.
  • Provides input to the assessment and evaluation of the resident's participation when requested.
  • Communicates a resident's concerns and responses to interventions to immediate supervisor.
  • Supports a resident's individual needs, preferences, customary routines and choices.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Recreational Services Aide Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required and lead groups in activities.

Recreational Services Aide Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of prior experience in a relevant role, preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting.

Physical Requirements:
  • Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
