Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS)

We are currently hiring School Therapy Aides (STAs) to support speech-language services and student success within PWCS.

Pay: $21.00 per hour, Monday-FridayAvailable Openings: Woodbridge and Gainesville/Manassas (Elementary and Middle School openings)Position Summary: The School Therapy Aide works directly with students requiring instructional, behavioral, and therapeutic support under the supervision of the speech-language pathologist, special education department, teacher, or designated school supervisor. The aide assists in implementing therapy activities, supporting student communication goals, documenting progress, and helping create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities may also include assisting students with personal care, physical mobility, and other therapeutic needs as directed by educational and healthcare professionals.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to comply with all relevant professional standards and school policies
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
  • Current Health Certificate (per contract or state requirements)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
