Job description

Golden Pond Adult Day Program is seeking to hire a Program Assistant to work on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Program Assistants are responsible for:

· Providing assistance to participants including personal care

· Working with medical day care staff members in order to effectively implement and

carry out organized services and activities to meet the needs of each participant

· Serving meals

· Feeding participants as needed

· Assisting with transporting and escorting participants to, from and within the day care facility as needed

· Assist with toileting participants as needed

· Observing participants and immediately reporting any changes in their condition to the nurse

· Using universal precautions when caring for participants to prevent the spread of infection

· Taking care to prevent the breakdown of participant’s skin

· Assisting with program activities

· Daily straightening of supply storage areas and activity areas after use

· Assist participants on and off the van

· Assist participants with ambulation as needed

Interested applicants must be high school graduates or have their GED and be able to pass a criminal background check. CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
