Job description

Rubbercraft is seeking an Account Program Manager (Aerospace) to serve as the primary point of contact for key aerospace customers while driving account performance, customer satisfaction, and operational execution. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure exceptional customer service, on-time delivery, and program success.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys building long-term customer relationships, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities, analyzing data, and driving cross-functional collaboration.

In addition to managing customer relationships, this position oversees order management activities, ERP updates, customer scorecards, and program reporting to ensure accurate execution and continuous improvement.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to: Commercial Director

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Account Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned aerospace OEM and strategic customer accounts.
  • Develop trusted relationships through proactive communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Partner with customers to understand priorities, provide order updates, and resolve issues quickly.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, presentations, business reviews, and site visits.
  • Build strong relationships across customer organizations while identifying opportunities for account growth.
Program & Operational Support
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Monitor delivery performance, quality metrics, and customer scorecards.
  • Develop and maintain Line of Balance (LOB) schedules, delivery plans, and program updates.
  • Analyze backlog and demand to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and operational performance.
Order & ERP Management
  • Manage order entry, sales order revisions, engineering change orders, and ERP updates.
  • Coordinate contract review and RMA workflows.
  • Maintain customer portals and EDI transactions.
  • Ensure customer documentation is accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Prepare customer scorecards, KPI dashboards, and executive presentations.
  • Utilize Excel and ERP reporting tools to analyze trends and identify risks.
  • Track action items and drive timely closure across departments.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer locations as needed (approximately 10%).
  • Support additional commercial initiatives as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Experience
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Program Management, Inside Sales, or Customer Service within aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting OEM aerospace customers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Gulfstream, Northrop Grumman, Bell, GE Aerospace, RTX (Raytheon), Pratt & Whitney, Airbus, or major Tier 1 suppliers including Collins Aerospace, Spirit AeroSystems, Honeywell, and similar organizations.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to meet customer delivery and quality objectives.
  • Experience working within ERP/MRP systems.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, reporting, data analysis).
  • Experience creating customer presentations and business reviews using PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing customer portals and EDI systems preferred.
  • Understanding of contract review, RMAs, order management, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Equivalent manufacturing experience (10+ years) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • Program Management experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with KPI development and customer scorecards.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time onsite in Long Beach, CA.
  • Approximately 10% travel.
  • Manufacturing office environment requiring occasional shop floor interaction.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • PPE required when entering manufacturing areas.
