Position: Cardiac Echo Sonographer

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our team in Farmington, NM.

Position Overview:

The Cardiac Echo Sonographer will be responsible for performing echocardiogram procedures on patients and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This individual will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information to aid in patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac ultrasound and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform echocardiogram procedures on patients according to established protocols and standards

- Obtain and record patient history and pertinent clinical information

- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety

- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards

- Analyze and interpret images to identify abnormalities and provide accurate diagnostic information

- Communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals in a timely and professional manner

- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality

- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care

- Keep abreast of new developments and techniques in cardiac ultrasound and participate in continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills

Qualifications:

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field

- ARDMS certification in Adult Echocardiography

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Echo Sonographer

- Strong knowledge and understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology

- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting ultrasound equipment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate patient records

- Current BLS certification

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Working Conditions:

The Cardiac Echo Sonographer will work full-time, 40 hours per week, in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The position may require occasional evening or weekend shifts, as well as on-call availability. The individual may be exposed to infectious diseases and must follow all safety protocols and procedures.
