What is the difference between Professor In Residence vs Professor In Residence?
| Aspect | Professor In Residence |
|---|
Since the comparison is with itself, the main differences often lie in specific roles or institutions. Typically, a Professor In Residence is a faculty member engaged in specialized projects or industry collaboration, often with a focus on practical application. They may have similar credentials as other faculty, such as a PhD, and work within academic or research institutions. The role emphasizes bridging academia and industry, unlike traditional professors who primarily focus on teaching and research. Understanding these nuances helps clarify the unique position of a Professor In Residence in the academic and industry landscape.
