Freshman Volleyball Coach
Monroe High School
Monroe Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Freshman Volleyball Coach at Monroe High School.
Qualifications
  • Coaching experience in volleyball is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, strategy, and teaching volleyball fundamentals.
  • Recognized ability to work collaboratively as part of an effective coaching staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a competitive environment while maintaining appropriate sportsmanship, professionalism, and positive conduct among athletes, staff, and spectators.
  • Demonstrated willingness to maintain and enforce all Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) rules, district policies, and codes of conduct related to school athletics and extracurricular activities.
  • Commitment to promoting high academic standards and student success among all participants.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and maintain positive relationships with administration, teachers, coaches, students, parents, and maintenance/custodial staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting all freshman volleyball practices, contests, and team activities.
  • Teach and develop individual and team volleyball skills appropriate for the freshman level.
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and positive character development.
  • Support the overall goals and expectations of the Monroe High School volleyball program.
  • Ensure student-athletes follow district and athletic department expectations regarding academics, attendance, conduct, and eligibility.
  • Maintain appropriate communication with athletes, parents, staff, and administration.
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices, contests, travel, and related team activities.

Additional Information
  • Position is contingent upon successful completion of all district and MHSAA requirements.
  • Compensation will be based on the applicable extracurricular salary schedule.
