Position Summary
The Enterprise Systems Administrator shall serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the Department.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Active Directory management activities.
  • Develop and maintain processes that optimize Microsoft Azure resources;
  • Analyze Azure resource performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization;
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems
    documentation;
  • Work with data center staff, Client, and users to perform resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes;
  • Administer and configure Azure and AWS infrastructure security as needed for Client staff and users;
  • Assist Azure and AWS application owners, administrators, and users with appropriate application
    access;
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows server issues with minimal impact on users;
  • Write PowerShell scripts to be used to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Azure management activities.
  • Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements;
  • Provide recommendations for possible process improvements within the Department’s infrastructure team;
  • Perform additional Systems Administrator tasks as required by the Department.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required.
  • Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when
    applicable.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of Windows server administration experience with three (3) years administering Windows 2016 and newer;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of Microsoft Azure and Cloud experience;
  • A minimum of one (1) year of AWS experience;
  • A minimum of five (5) years administering Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), and Group Policy in environments with over 1,000 users;
  • Experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts.
  • Experience working in virtual server and Cloud environments;
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting third-party applications;
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects with a large, distributed user base;
  • Experience developing and managing schedules for multiple projects;
  • Experience working in AWS Cloud;
  • Experience with state government projects;
  • Experience managing and reporting project metrics in strict compliance with Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C.;
  • Experience working with technical programming teams;
  • Ability to demonstrate a professional can-do attitude with the initiative to solve complex
    problems;
  • Knowledge of Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) and Health Insurance Portability and
  • Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) security standards;
  • Knowledge of IT standards in a criminal justice environment;
  • Knowledge in other IT areas such as programming, data analytics, etc.;
  • Proven team player attitude with a high-energy level and diligent work ethic; and
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and organize and
    prioritize activities
