Job Overview

As a Business Development Lead, your role will entail identifying strategic business opportunities and devising plans to leverage them effectively. You'll spearhead efforts to grow our customer base, nurture partnerships, and propel revenue growth. This role not only involves expanding our customer base and fostering partnerships but also frequently offers opportunities to contribute to product development and collaborate with a team to solve challenging and cutting‑edge engineering problems.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Provide support to the domestic and international business development strategy.
  • Manage leads and customer relationships in line with Swift’s values, policies, and procedures, including managing relationships with partners and representatives.
  • Search for and evaluate new aerospace opportunities, including R&D, composite manufacturing, engineering services, and UAS sales and services.
  • Coordinate internally among team members and other departments such as Engineering, Program Management, Legal, and Finance.
  • Develop deep knowledge of all products and services and apply this knowledge to provide appropriate recommendations/suggestions that meet client requirements.
  • Participate in domestic and international trade shows and other business development activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical field.
  • 2+ years of prior experience, preferably in an engineering, technical, manufacturing, or unmanned systems business development role or related field.
  • Domestic and international travel required, driven by business development initiatives.
  • Passion for and broad knowledge of aerospace and UAS technology development.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills; ability to create well‑written business development products such as proposals, presentations, white papers, etc.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment; ability to work well under tight deadlines and interact effectively with a wide range of people.
Must be “US PERSON” per ITAR and OPSEC requirements. Working Conditions

Office environment, indoors, air‑conditioned, and occasionally may be in an open shop or field environment. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
