Substitute Teacher - Early Learning CenterThe School City of East Chicago is seeking caring, dependable, and professional Substitute Childcare Providers to support classrooms at the Carrie Gosch Early Learning Center. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging early childhood environment that promotes learning, personal growth, and development
Responsibilities Substitute Childcare Providers will:
- Create a flexible early childhood education program and classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth
- Establish effective rapport with pupils and foster positive social development
- Motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes, and foundational knowledge appropriate for early childhood education
- Support each child's development in accordance with their individual abilities
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with parents, staff, and administrators
- Follow district policies, procedures, and early learning center guidelines
Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements before placement:
- Valid Indiana Substitute Permit
- I-LEAD Account (Required) https://secure.in.gov/apps/fssa/childcare/portal/home
- Fingerprinting through IdentoGO https://www.identogo.com/
- CPR / First Aid Certification https://cpr.heart.org/en/
- TB Test and Drug Screening https://www.powershealth.org/locations/s/st-catherine-hospital
- Starting pay is $100.00 per day
- Valid Substitute Permit required
