Job description

New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.
Location: Bloomfield Hills
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Reports To: President / Chief Medical Officer / Medical Director / Clinical Director
Compensation: Salaried Employee. Commensurate with experience.
Position Summary: The Registered Dietitian is a full time position comprised of multiple duties related to the FACE to FACE Partial Hospitalization Program as well as the Outpatient Program. This position will require working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide the highest quality of care to clients.

  • Strong written and verbal communication.
Essential Duties / Functions:
  • Assist Clinical Staff with evaluations and consultations on food and nutrition for clients in the FACE to FACE Program and the Outpatient Program with eating disorders in accordance with professional standards and policies/procedures of the facility.
  • Provide daily group therapy to clients in the FACE to FACE Program and Outpatient Program with eating disorders in accordance with professional standards and the policies/procedures of the facility.
  • Provide supervision of lunch groups and develop meal plans for clients in the FACE to FACE Program with eating disorders in accordance with professional standards and the polices/procedures of the facility.
  • Perform initial assessments/evaluations on potential clients on a scheduled and/or emergency basis.
  • Complete documentation as required by the clinic's policies/procedures.
  • Fulfillment of all initial and ongoing training requirements.
  • Attend daily FACE to FACE administrative/clinical meetings.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Mastersdegree and Certification as a Registered Dietitian required. Must be able to work well with all types of people and all populations including children, adolescents, and adults.
Working Conditions: Staff is to dress professionally at all times following dress code policy. Staff will need to be prepared to be actively involved with clients.
Relations with Others:
  • External: High degree of contact with clients and families both in person and on the telephone.
  • Internal: High degree of contact with other clerical and professional staff of the clinic.
