Software Development Engineer III – Mobile (React Native)What you'll do:
  • Contribute to the development of Premera’s next‑generation suite of React Native mobile applications.
  • Design, build, and enhance mobile features using modern technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute solutions that support scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain clean, testable, and well‑documented code in an agile delivery environment.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers to deliver software that is simple, intuitive, and easy to use.
  • Participate in pair programming and peer code reviews to improve quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Improve application quality and reliability by writing unit tests and automated UI tests.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues, including production defects, with a focus on customer impact.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies effectively within the team and with delivery partners.
  • Continuously learn and apply new tools, technologies, and techniques to improve mobile engineering practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience developing mobile applications with React Native.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience contributing to the design and delivery of production‑scale mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks, and mobile performance optimization.
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services and APIs.

Physical Requirements:
