• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of clients to develop customized treatment plans that align with their unique needs.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic modalities to groups, couples, and individuals, ensuring each session is tailored to encourage client engagement and progress.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and address the multifaceted needs of clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay informed of the latest research, trends, and methodologies in mental health care.

Your role as a Mental Health Counselor will focus on serving a diverse patient population that includes individuals and families who often encounter barriers in accessing mental health services. Many of our clients may be dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, or relationship issues, thereby requiring a compassionate approach paired with effective therapeutic techniques. Ensuring that these individuals receive timely and empathetic care is a key aspect of our mission.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in counseling, with a strong understanding of mental health diagnoses and therapeutic interventions.
• Possess a comprehensive knowledge of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a varied client base.
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and other digital healthcare technologies.

• Specialization or advanced training in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment.
• Experience in outpatient settings, ideally working with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with integrated care models that emphasize collaboration among various health professionals.

• Annual salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, reflecting your experience and the caseload you manage.
