The View From the Water Tower
The Household Goods/Residential Moving Consultant is responsible for generating new business and managing client relationships within the local Wisconsin market. This role focuses on helping homeowners, renters, and residential partners plan and execute seamless relocation experiences. The consultant will drive sales through business development, networking, and responding to inbound inquiries, while guiding clients through the moving process from initial consultation to project completion.

  • Learn and understand residential relocation services and processes
  • Conduct in-home and virtual surveys to accurately assess job scope, size, and pricing
  • Provide consultative guidance to customers on moving services, options, and expectations
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, questions, and concerns
  • Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and moving crews to ensure successful outcomes
  • Develop new business relationships with residential interior designers, realtors, builders, and home service professionals
  • Build referral networks with property managers, apartment communities, and senior living communities
  • Participate in networking events, community involvement, and industry organizations
  • Demonstrate persistence, creativity, and energy in developing new business opportunities
  • Maintain strong follow-up and pipeline management practices

Physical Demands
This position requires frequent walking, climbing stairs, and conducting in-home surveys using a tablet/iPad. Occasional light lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.

  • 2+ years of sales experience preferred (service-based or consultative sales a plus)
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
