Job description

(CNA) Bilingual Personal Care Attendant II, Opportunities in Long Beach

Under the supervision of the Nursing Care Coordinator and Home Care Manager, the Advanced Care At Home (ACAH) PCA II will perform and assist with personal care ADLs/IADL’s for participants in the PACE program across all platforms of delivery of care, such as PACE center, ACS, and/or in the participant’s home . The PCA II, under the ACAH Nursing Team’s (e.g. Nursing Care Coordinator and Home Care Manager of PACE, RN, RN supervisor, HCC LVN Supervisor, and/ or the Advanced Care at Home HCC LVN) supervision and task-oriented assignments, is to care and assist ACAH participants perform activities of daily living (ADL), (IADLs) in the community and participants’ home settings. The PCA II communicates and collaborates with the ACAH Nursing Team in the goals of the plan of care, focusing on needs, and health status both physical and mental well-being. The ACAH PCA II, assigned by the Nursing Care Coordinator and Home Care Manager or ACAH Nursing Team, conduct home caregiver supervisory visits to observe and validate that quality home care has been provided to the participants via the home care agency. Skills and Abilities: 1. Requiring a high level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail


Term: temporary 3 Months

Schedule: M-F 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

  • The role, does require flexibility with the schedule. Although the position is 30 hours per week, there may be times when appointments assigned to PCAs extend beyond 6 hours due to specialty wait times or transportation availability

Pay range: $24HR -$26HR

Locations: Long Beach


Qualifications -MUST HAVES!!

  • 1. Certified Nursing Aide education and training. Nurse Assistant Certificate by the State of California, Department of Health and Human Services – Aid and Technician Certification is required
  • 2. Valid BLS Certification is required
  • 3. A High school diploma is required or some college education/credits, preferred.
  • 4. California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement upon employment preferred, must be attained w/in 30 days of employment.
  • 5. A minimum of 3 years of current experience working with the frail elderly and disabled populations is required
  • 6. Bilingual: English/Spanish is required.
  • 7. Experience working with the elderly patient population
  • A valid driver's license is required
