Position Summary
The part-time Workplace Support Assistant (WSA) provides administrative, technological, and communication support to Dr. Coble Temple. This role is designed to support Dr. Coble Temple in performing the essential job functions across teaching, advising, research, and administrative responsibilities.
The Workplace Support Assistant serves as an extension of the faculty member's communication and operational capacity, assisting with transcription, digital navigation, academic processes, and daily coordination.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide transcription and communication support for faculty interactions with students, colleagues, field placements, internship programs, and professional organizations.
  • Transcribe evaluations, recommendations, remediation plans, presentations, policies, procedures, dissertation feedback, IRB feedback, and other faculty-directed materials.
  • Enter and maintain student information, grades, attendance records, evaluations, tracking sheets, and related academic documentation as directed by the faculty member.
  • Assist with navigation and use of University and external systems, including but not limited to Time2Track, Express, , Zoom, Slack, MeisterTask, Microsoft Office, , APPIC, CAPIC, BAPIC, and similar platforms.
  • Provide real-time voice interpretation, transcription, and note-taking support during meetings and official interactions.
  • Manage the faculty member's calendar, communications, digital files, and follow-up items.
  • Prepare and format syllabi, forms, committee materials, fillable PDFs, and other instructional or administrative documents.
  • Conduct periodic audits of advisee, trainee, intern, and course records and complete related tracking documentation.
  • Assist with faculty, instructional, student-record, and HR-related paperwork.
  • Perform other related transcription and administrative support duties as assigned.
