Job description

Duties & Responsibilities - Associate IPM

Course Planning, Delivery, and Evaluation

  • Executes established planning and delivery procedures for an assigned portfolio of courses with close guidance. Ensures completion of all operational tasks from course transition through close-out.
  • Serves as primary contact for routine instructor and grading team needs; escalates complex issues appropriately.
  • Prepares and supports course transition, soft launch, and end-of-term sessions.
  • Manages Box folders, Canvas access, announcements, and MOOC set up.
  • Documents issues, resolutions, and suggestions for improvement; contributes observations to team discussions.

Student Support and Issue Resolution

  • Responds to routine student support inquiries and iSupport tickets. Escalates complex matters appropriately and builds familiarity with escalation procedures.
  • Monitors iSupport tickets and provides first-pass responses; ensures clear documentation.
  • Supports DRES accommodations and grading extensions under guidance.
  • Keeps stakeholders informed of issue progress.

Instructional Team Leadership and Supervision

  • Supervises and mentors the graders and associate staff within assigned portfolio. Provides feedback and ensures adherence to guidelines with direction from Senior IPMs.
  • Mentors new or part-time graders as assigned.
  • Assists with scheduling and assignment tracking.
  • Coordinates day-to-day task completion.

Grading Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Supports grading workflows, verifies rubric application, and flags issues for review.
  • Applies established rubrics accurately and verifies publication of grading materials.
  • Conducts spot checks and communicates findings.

Other Duties

  • Contributes ideas for improving processes and workflows. Participates in projects as assigned.
  • Participates in professional development and skill-building opportunities.
  • Performs assigned tasks to support program operations.

Duties & Responsibilities - IPM

Course Planning, Delivery, and Evaluation

  • Manages planning and delivery for assigned portfolio, coordinating key milestones, tracking deliverables, and anticipating risks.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for instructors and grading teams on operational and administrative course delivery matters; ensures timely, high-quality responses and solutions.
  • Host transition meetings and soft launch meetings; documents and follows up on key actions.
  • Manages all course operations independently and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency or clarity.
  • Facilitates continuous improvement cycles by analyzing course data (dashboards, tickets, surveys) and recommending targeted changes.

Student Support and Issue Resolution

  • Handles escalated student and instructor issues within assigned portfolio. Ensures timely and accurate documentation and resolution in iSupport.
  • Triages and resolves issues efficiently communicates outcomes to instructors and relevant teams.
  • Manages accommodations and exceptions for portfolio, ensuring compliance and communication with instructors
  • Summarizes issue trends and contributes to after-action reports.

Instructional Team Leadership and Supervision

  • Supervises and mentors the graders and associate staff within assigned portfolio. Provides coaching on rubric alignment, ticket handling, and instructional expectations.
  • Provides performance feedback, ensures rubric consistency, and supports professional development for team members.
  • Plans course delivery timelines and allocates work within the portfolio.
  • Applies project management practices to manage IPM workflows.

Grading Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Oversees grading operations for portfolio; ensures accuracy and timely completion.
  • Conducts rubric checks and addressed grader questions; ensures consistent application.
  • Summarizes grading outcomes and identifies patterns or outliers.

Continuous Improvement

  • Leads small-scale improvement initiatives; documents and shares process updates.

Other Duties

  • Pursues professional growth relevant to IPM responsibilities; mentors peers informally.
  • Performs additional duties to meet portfolio needs.
