Responsibilities of position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review and analyze complex standalone Professional Liability risks, including but not limited to Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Real Estate E&O, Media Liability, and Technology Professionals.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analysis to determine appropriate coverage, terms, and pricing based on internal guidelines and market conditions.
  • Establish and maintain strong long-term relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders to drive submission flow and new business growth.
  • Collaborate with other underwriting teams to identify cross-selling opportunities and promote our product offerings.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of the assigned portfolio, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and data integrity within underwriting systems.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree - insurance, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Professional Liability underwriting, with a proven track record of profitable growth.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Professional Liability underwriting, policies, and coverages within the insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make sound decisions.
  • Possess planning, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Self-motivated and independent work traits along with multi-tasking, organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using underwriting software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
  • Professional designations such as CPCU, RPLU, and/or ARM are a plus.
