Position Overview

The Legal Letter Preparer is responsible for drafting, formatting, and finalizing professional legal correspondence on behalf of attorneys, paralegals, and the firm. This role supports case workflows by preparing accurate, compliant, and timely letters used for communication with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties. Precision, professionalism, and strict attention to detail are essential.

  • Draft, format, and prepare legal letters, including: oDemand letters
  • Representation letters oDiscovery or document request letters
  • Status updates oResponse letters
  • Collection or compliance-related correspondence
  • Review attorney notes, case files, and templates to prepare accurate letters aligned with case strategy and firm standards.
  • Ensure all written communications comply with legal, ethical, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Edit and proofread letters for grammar, punctuation, clarity, accuracy, and tone.
  • Manage version control and maintain organized digital folders for correspondence.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to confirm content, deadlines, and required attachments.
