Job description

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Professional to join our Hooksett, New Hampshire office. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced environmental professionals on site investigation and remediation projects while building strong client and regulatory relationships.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field, with strong technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and project coordination skills. This individual will support and manage environmental investigations and remediation projects while contributing to business development, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining GZA's commitment to safety and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Senior Project Managers and Principals to plan, organize, and execute environmental site investigations and remediation projects.
  • Lead and document field investigations, remedial actions, and environmental monitoring activities.
  • Conduct technical analyses, calculations, and data reviews to support project objectives.
  • Perform and review environmental site assessments and related evaluations.
  • Develop site-specific health and safety plans and ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project scope, schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare technical reports, work plans, and regulatory documentation with guidance from senior leadership.
  • Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and client communications.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and project team members.
  • Mentor and support junior staff while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist with multidisciplinary projects and additional responsibilities as needed in support of GZA's One Company culture.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of professional environmental experience; consulting experience preferred.
  • Professional licensure or registration is a plus.
  • Experience managing environmental site investigation and remediation projects.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to independently manage field and office responsibilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and regulatory documentation.
  • Current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification with up-to-date 8-hour refresher training.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field and office environments.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as project needs require.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
