Job description

Dentons US LLP is seeking a Professional Development Coordinator to join our dynamic team and to be resident in our Atlanta, Charleston, Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, or St. Louis office. This hybrid role provides essential support to the Professional Development Managers and the Professional Development Director, playing a critical part in advancing the Firm's learning and development initiatives and performance management processes.
The Coordinator will assist in the planning, execution, and evaluation of training programs, workshops, and related events. This individual will also help manage logistics for performance reviews and collaborate across departments to ensure effective communication and implementation of professional development programs.
Responsibilities
Firm-wide and practice specific training programs
  • Distribute program invitations and all program related communications including reminder invitation, final details to registrants, materials and evaluations
  • Reconcile attendance for CLE purposes
  • Update and maintain the firm's Learning Management System (LMS) and MCLE tracking database, Micron CE Manager
  • Provide practice specific learning paths reports
  • Attend and monitor training programs
  • Work with CLE Lead to support CLE-eligible training and projects
  • Assist with the creation of e-Learning modules

Multi-day programs
  • Assist with coordination of multi-day training programs
  • Support programs virtually or in-person as needed
  • Coordinate weekly calls and agenda
  • Create and maintain program specific portal pages in SharePoint
  • Work across departments such as clients & markets and talent to identify key information for a successful running of program

Performance management processes
  • Support the evaluation process administratively
  • Create e-binders and organize materials for the annual year-end associate review process
  • Prepare reports, statistical analyses, and system reviews related to the review process
  • Distribute review process related communications
  • Conduct quality check for written feedback
  • Oversee the scheduling of partner roundtable meetings and associate review meetings
  • Conduct trainings for supporting legal administrative assistants
  • Mentor/sponsorship programs
  • Coordinate details for the Firm's Practice Advisor and Associate Mentor program
  • Maintain and distribute mentoring program related materials
  • Maintain and handle logistics associated with mentor pairings and budget tracking

Business Services Professionals
  • Support the design and running of training programs for business services professionals
  • Assist with the creation of e-Learning modules

CLE
  • Prepare and submit CLE applications
  • Serve as the internal CLE Coordinator in multiple jurisdictions
  • Handle logistics associated with Client CLEs (searching CEM for existing clients, entering new clients, adding attendees, adjusting credit)

General/Other
  • Coordinate other department duties, projects and assignments as requested
  • Support the Partner Promotion Process as needed
  • Other duties, as needed or assigned

Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
  • Experience in a professional services setting (legal industry preferred)
  • Must be detail-oriented and a critical thinker
  • Able to work with a team of highly-skilled professionals in situations that require sound judgment, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Able to work in the office three days a week, and remotely two days a week
  • Ability to maintain a good rapport with various personnel at all levels
  • Ability to organize assignments, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Proactive and able to effectively balance priorities
  • Able to follow direction, work independently, and provide status updates, as appropriate
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency using Windows, Zoom and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Articulate
  • Micron CE Manager and ViDesktop experience, a plus

Salary Range
Chicago Only DOE: $56,000 - $70,000
