Ace Electric is seeking a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead field operations, project execution, workforce coordination, and operational performance across large-scale electrical construction projects.

About the Role

The Operations Manager – Electrical Construction serves as a strategic operational leader supporting the Division Manager in overseeing daily field operations, workforce planning, project coordination, safety initiatives, and team performance.

This position helps ensure projects are completed:

The role includes extensive collaboration with Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and executive leadership.

Training & Travel

Ace Electric provides a structured 90-day onboarding and leadership training program that includes travel to:

  • Jackson, TN
  • Jackson, MS
  • Columbus, OH
  • Valdosta, GA

Following training, the role will primarily operate from the Kennesaw/Atlanta division office.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations Leadership

  • Lead and support electrical construction field operations across multiple job sites
  • Ensure projects maintain safety, quality, schedule, and productivity goals
  • Coordinate workforce planning and staffing needs
  • Support project teams with operational resources and problem-solving

Project Coordination & Performance

  • Monitor project timelines, manpower, cost performance, and operational efficiency
  • Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to improve execution
  • Provide operational insight and reporting to division leadership
  • Help drive process improvements and operational consistency

Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate Project Managers and field leadership
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and professional development
  • Support company HR policies, employee engagement, and performance initiatives

Client & Vendor Relations

  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project success
  • Support customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development
  • Assist with issue resolution and operational communication

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a strong safety-first culture
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and jobsite safety standards
  • Support implementation of safety initiatives and best practices

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in construction, electrical construction, or engineering
  • 3+ years of leadership or operations management experience

Preferred Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bluebeam
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical plans

Leadership Skills

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making ability

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with no DUIs
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments
