GENERAL PURPOSE

The Business Process Enablement Manager supports the delivery and continuous improvement of technology solutions that enable New Product Commercialization (NPC) processes. This role partners closely with Product leaders, IT, and business process teams to ensure solutions meet defined business requirements and are effectively tested, implemented, and adopted by users.

Operating within a complex, cross-functional NPC environment, this position focuses on execution excellence, process improvement, and user support within assigned initiatives or platforms. The role translates business needs into documented requirements, supports testing and rollout activities, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts across portions of the NPC lifecycle.

The role requires a working understanding of MillerKnoll enterprise technology and system architectures to enable informed collaboration with development teams and to contribute to root cause analysis, and meaningful enhancement recommendations aligned to business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serves as a key contributor to the associate and business user experience for technology solutions supporting New Product Development.
  • Partners with Product leaders, IT, and business process teams to gather, document, and clarify business requirements for assigned initiatives.
  • Translates defined business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and process documentation for technology development teams.
  • Supports testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), pilots, and phased rollouts, to validate that solutions meet documented requirements.
  • Coordinates with development teams to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure delivery aligns with agreedupon scope and timelines.
  • Collects and synthesizes user feedback; escalates insights and improvement opportunities to Product or Program leadership.
  • Assists in monitoring adoption and effectiveness metrics for assigned solutions and initiatives.
  • Contributes to process improvement efforts using a lean philosophy and a structured problem solving approach.
  • Works with the team to identifying inefficiencies, pain points, and opportunities within defined areas of NPD.
  • Develops and maintains training materials, user guides, and support documentation to aid solution adoption.
  • Collaborates with crossfunctional partners across Product, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and Marketing as needed to support assigned work.
  • Ensures alignment with established technology standards, architectural guidance, and security requirements in partnership with IT.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of how enterprise tools and platforms are designed and built, enabling effective dialogue with developers regarding feasibility, tradeoffs, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Collaborates with development teams using appropriate technical terminology and artifacts (e.g., user stories, acceptance criteria, system behaviors) to clarify requirements and suggest improvements to existing or new solutions.

  • Impacts timeliness and quality of solution delivery through strong execution, coordination, and followthrough.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in crossfunctional environments involving product development, technology, and business processes.
  • Prior experience supporting technology implementations, process improvement initiatives, or business systems.
  • Specific experience working alongside software development teams or supporting internally built tools is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Solid understanding of product development processes and business operations.
  • Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into clear, welldocumented requirements.
  • Experience supporting testing, rollout, and adoption of technology solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and followthrough.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate & influence change at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently on defined assignments with limited supervision while escalating issues appropriately.
  • Working knowledge of agile or iterative delivery practices.
  • Collaborative mindset and customerfocused approach.
  • Foundational understanding of software development concepts, such as how applications are structured, configured, and enhanced.
  • Ability to engage productively with developers by framing enhancement ideas in terms of system behavior, logic, and constraints, without being responsible for writing production code.
