We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineer-Telecommunications to join our team at K&A Power Group in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:

  • Support all capital projects involving digitization and automation of electric operations, gas operations, Fossil Hydro Operations, Process and Technology, AMI, and Control & Automation Systems as follows:
  • Project Evaluation, Feasibility and Planning reviews
  • Contract reviews (non-legal)
  • Monitoring of Construction progress
  • Monitoring of equipment and material compliance with specifications
  • Engineering design and planning reviews
  • Schedule Analysis and Optimization
  • Equipment Commissioning and Verification Test
  • Operational and Maintenance Review
  • Cost/Benefit Analysis
  • General reporting to Customer on the basis of technical and business competence

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Two-Five (2-5) years of engineering experience in the functional area
  • Experience with Telecom projects
  • Workers at this level solve more complex problems in engineering areas of specialization with limited supervision.
  • Workers are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with even greater independence.
  • Effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is progressing complex and varied.
  • Strong oral / written communication skills within a professional environment
  • Skilled in the practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations
  • In office position- must report daily to local office

Pay Range $78,000—$90,000/annually
