Job Summary
Purpose or Role of the Position.
Support all scenic needs within the Department of Theatre and Dance including, but not limited to, departmental productions, events, and classes.
Responsibilities
Under direction, performs technical theatrical duties to support a wide variety of departmental productions and special events; reviews build plans and constructs and/or paints scenic elements; assists in the management of scenic and properties storage, including pulling and striking pieces use in productions; assists with the safe rigging and flying of scenery pieces in the riverside theatre complex; assists as a team leader of student crews to complete the aforementioned duties/tasks; and Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
1-3 years of Backstage Experience.
Proposed Salary
$8.50/hr.

Position Classification :
Federal Work-Study (FWS) positions are grouped into three general levels based on job duties and required skills:
  • Entry-Level: Basic tasks with little to no prior experience required. Duties may include clerical work, customer service, or general office support.

Federal Work-Study (FWS) pay rates are based on the type of job, responsibilities, and skills required. Pay is set within the university's student wage guidelines and follows federal and state minimum wage laws.
Rates may vary by position and are determined in coordination with Financial Aid, based on available funding and the student's FWS award.
