We currently have an opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Manufacturing Facility in Huntersville, NC for the night shift 12pm-12am.
Responsibilities
The Production Supervisor provides frontline leadership for a manufacturing shift by driving safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while achieving production objectives. Partners with cross-functional teams to optimize labor, equipment, and production performance, ensuring operational continuity and continuous improvement. Leads and develops hourly employees, promotes accountability, and resolves operational issues to meet business goals. Exercises independent judgment in daily shift operations and influences plant performance through effective execution, communication, and team leadership.

Leadership
  • Leads and develops 50+ hourly production employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance objectives.
  • Coaches team members to build accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Conducts performance management activities, including work assignments, coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and employee development.

Operations
  • Directs all production shift activities to maximize productivity while controlling operating costs and maintaining product quality.
  • Allocates labor and production resources to meet production schedules and changing operational priorities.
  • Ensures accurate collection, reporting, and communication of production and operational performance data.
  • Evaluates equipment conditions and partners with maintenance and support functions to minimize downtime and improve operational reliability.
  • Coordinates effective shift transitions to ensure uninterrupted production and communication across operations.

Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Champions a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Leads quality initiatives that support plant performance objectives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable food safety and good manufacturing practices where required and promptly escalates food safety concerns.

  • Identifies operational improvement opportunities and implements actions that improve efficiency, quality, cost, and overall plant performance.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, developing, coaching, and mentoring high-performing teams.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, or a related field..

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Experience leading or directing production activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience supervising, coaching, and developing manufacturing employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
