Job Summary

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Quality Systems Coordinator based in Dallas Texas at our Beverage & Plant based facility!

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our Dallas Texas Plant team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The Quality Systems Coordinator will support the implementation of the Danone Quality Assurance standards through technical guidance, analysis, and leadership to continuously improve quality performance. The Quality Systems Coordinator is accountable for capability assessment and improvement in the areas of food safety controls, programs, systems, audit preparedness, product specification performance.

The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:

  • Support and assist PQA Manager with the coordination, updates, and maintenance of the FSHCP, HACCP system, & all QFS management systems.
  • Lead and coordinate audits (Internal & external) such as, FSSC, kosher, organic, US Military, RSPO, GFCO, customers, etc. including developing responses, CAPA’s, and driving audit closure.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the QFS processes, plans, and practices
  • Responsible for the effectiveness of the plant Quality documentation system
  • Traceability Program champion and owner. Schedule and train traceability team on all types of traces required by both GFSI, Danone, and Local traceability procedures. Including identification and resolution of any gaps found.
  • Ensure all employees are included in the QFS training programs, including all FSMS trainings and CampusX content.
  • Primary driver of the culture of quality mindset and desired behaviors at the plant specifically as the iCare program owner
  • Support the QFS digitalization of the plant programs and results
  • Support and assist PQA Manager with data collection, trending results and KPI’s completion for management review and continuous improvement.
  • QI Piller owner and primary driver of initiatives, supporting the IWS journey of the Quality standards of the plant
  • Food Fraud Coordinator for the site. Own and oversee the Food Fraud program for the site – SPOC for audits, maintain Food Fraud programs.
  • Back-up Food Defense Coordinator for the site working with EHS department to ensure Food Defense program is maintained.
  • Support the optimization of processes and product costs aimed at eliminating losses resulting from products not meeting their specifications
  • SPOC for contracted Pest Control Program on site.
  • All other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • This role requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations.
  • Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate. Work schedules could include off-shift or weekends

Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we’re looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:

Education & Experience:

  • B.S. in Food Science or Food Technology, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Biotechnology or related science related fields
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Quality Assurance or related fields in food manufacturing or regulatory related function in food, pharmaceutics, medical devices or biotechnology
  • Working experience in a processing & manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Beverage, Dairy, Plant Based Product Category experience preferred, or high risk, ready to eat categories.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong Business & People Leadership Competencies demonstrated in previous roles with a passion to develop and grow others.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, interpersonal, and training skills
  • Ability to influence others and be a team player
  • Very good knowledge of the applicable Q&FS management systems (ISO, FSSC 22000, PRP’s, HACCP, GMP, GHP, etc.) and the application thereof.
  • Trained and experienced in auditing & project management
  • Solid experience in Quality & Food Safety Management Systems
  • Good technical understanding of food science & technology, formulation, processing & equipment
  • Good Knowledge of food, food safety legislation, regulations and issues
  • Very good knowledge of statistical evaluation
  • Experience with Data analytics and digital fluency: graphs, tables, PBI, LIMS, SAP
