Job description

Job Summary:
Supervises production team in assigned department(s). Improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Increase team skills and capabilities. Continuously improves level of associate satisfaction while improving efficiency.  
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the safe operation of all production processes.  
  • Continually monitors area and solicits feedback from associates.  
  • Enforce all safety rules and regulations.  
  • Supervise team members.  
  • Ensures effective employee relations.  
  • Resolves issues through problem resolution. Confers with management to resolve complex associate issues. 
  • Interviews, selects, orients, trains, conduct performance appraisals, performance development, schedules and approves hours.  
  • Provides leadership for associate relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.  
  • Executes operational plan to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout assigned production department(s).  
  • Work with other functional areas to implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve quality, cost, on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, associate satisfaction.  
  • Maintains production plan. 
  • Ensures compliance with the organization standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, on-time delivery 
  • Provide training and support need to the team, set goals and objectives.  
  • Measure team performance for safety, quality, delivery and cost. Work with team to continually improve these measures.  


Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED


Experience:

  • 7+years of related technical experience
  • 3-6 years managing other

KSA's:

  • Technical experience in the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment. 
  • Knowledge of production and processing and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing of products.  
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma techniques. 
  • Interpersonal and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to lead and train others.  
  • Problem solving skills.
