Summary

The Sewing Finisher performs all tasks involved in the sewing department including cutting, measuring, sewing and inspecting.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to cut, sew and adjust machine functions as necessary using dials, pedals, levers, panel buttons, etc
  • Perform hot knife cuts and sew gaskets
  • Sew rod pockets
  • Monitor quality throughout the shift by inspecting each part before and after it is produced for dirt, debris, and quality
  • Keep supplies readily available and organized
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Count, sort, and stack finished work pieces and dispose of waste material
  • Clearly label raw material, work in progress, and finished goods
  • Assist in production and packaging areas as time allows
  • Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment
  • Follows all safety and workplace policies
