Job description

Project Manager

Autoliv is currently looking to fill the role of a Project Manager at its Technical Center. The role entails directing all phases of program development by leading cross-functional teams while working with multiple departments within Autoliv and at customers. Applicant should be a self-directed, result-oriented professional willing to deliver results while meeting sales and project deadlines. This position requires building relationships with key stakeholders globally, inside Autoliv, as well as with external customer team members.

In this role you will be responsible to
  • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver projects using Autoliv development processes

  • Drive accountability across engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, program management, and suppliers

  • Manage global project execution, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and strong performance outcomes

  • Oversee project scope, budget, schedule, and launch readiness to meet internal and customer milestones

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and customers on project-related matters

  • Support business strategies, new business quoting, and technical presentations (design reviews, tollgates, workshops)

  • Ensure projects follow the Autoliv Product Development System (APDS) and maintain accurate project tracking

  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support successful product launches in a fast-paced environment

What is required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management / Program Management / Engineering

  • Experience or exposure to:

    • Automotive industry

    • New Product Development (NPD) or product launch

    • Cross-functional teams in a matrix organization

  • Strong skills in communication, organization, and stakeholder management

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Flexibility to collaborate across global teams and time zones

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with automotive safety systems / restraints

  • Knowledge of APQP, APDS, or similar development frameworks

  • Exposure to manufacturing processes and plant launches

  • Bilingual or multilingual (Spanish, Japanese)

  • Experience presenting to executive stakeholders
