Job Title: Production & Plant Engineer

Location: Quincy, WA

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work independently or as a member of cross functional teams to represent plant engineering functions to support projects and operational readiness of assigned systems.

  • Supervise union production employees

  • Identify and champion projects to support site's continuous improvement, cost control and any compliance gap remediation initiatives.

  • SAP subject matter expert in regards to all maintenance management processes.

  • Spearhead on boarding of all new equipment into SAP.

  • Bill of Material ownership for plant equipment.

  • Work on identifying critical spare parts required for systems in assigned areas.

  • Supports maintenance

  • Participates or leads production improvement projects.

  • Leads or participates in Root Cause Failure Analysis activities.

  • Champions proactive maintenance, encouraging all production and maintenance personnel to turn in work to be planned and scheduled using SAP.

  • Ensures that all data collected regarding the work process is accurate and complete when being entered into SAP.

  • Performs additional reports and tracking as assigned using Google or other tools.

  • Supports maintenance objectives.

  • Support the Respirable Crystalline Silica project

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes, including preventative/predictive maintenance procedures such as vibration, oil analysis and thermal analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, lead, coach, and motivate the workforce.

  • Skills in assessing the nature of a situation, identifying options, selecting best alternative, and implementing the chosen plan

  • Internal customer focused and proven strong team member.

  • Ability to use financial information in decision making and find ways to reduce cost.

  • Good communication skills including the following: verbal, nonverbal, written, and listening.

  • Ability to use and learn SAP.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in relative Engineering discipline plus 5 OR at least 7 years experience in a related industry and environment

  • Prior mineral processing experience is desired.

  • Prior Leadership experience required

  • SAP experience desired.

  • Co-op and/or intern experience is desired

Compensation Range: $100-135,000 Depending on education and experience

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. In addition, Imerys provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, generous 401K match savings plan, and holidays.
