Industry: Aerospace & Aviation Component Manufacturing
Watch Now: Learn More About Dayton-Granger
Why Join Dayton-Granger?
DAYTON-GRANGER, INC. (DG) is a third-generation, family-owned aerospace manufacturer proudly based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. For nearly 83 years, we've designed, tested, and manufactured proprietary aircraft antennas, electrostatic dischargers, and lightning protection components - all from our single, fully integrated facility. Because Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Planning work side by side every day, you'll enjoy a highly collaborative environment where your ideas are heard, your work is visible, and your contributions make a meaningful impact. With an average employee tenure of 8 years, we're proud to offer the stability of an established industry leader with the close-knit culture of a family-owned business.
At Dayton-Granger, production planning is more than maintaining schedules - it's a critical part of how we build, deliver, and continuously improve our manufacturing operation. As our next Production Control Planner, you'll develop production plans that balance labor, materials, equipment capacity, and customer demand across a diverse portfolio of proprietary aerospace products. Working alongside Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain, you'll help ensure production stays aligned, resources are utilized effectively, and customer commitments are met. This is an opportunity to work in an environment where your planning expertise is valued, your ideas are welcomed, and your contributions have a visible impact on the success of our operations.
What You'll Own:
  • Build and maintain finite capacity production schedules that reflect real world constraints (labor, machines, materials and tools)
  • Use Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems and ERP/MRP tools (Infor or Oracle) to plan production across multiple work centers
  • Analyze multi level BOM's to manage dependencies and plan effectively
  • Collaborate with Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing to coordinate work orders, materials and resources
  • Adjust schedules for downtime, material delays, labor shortages, or high priority orders
  • Support inventory strategies, including safety stock and lead time evaluations for key items
  • Communicate schedule changes and risks to internal teams and customer service
  • Identify inefficiencies and participate in planning process improvements
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in constraint-based/finite planning, including labor and equipment capacity
  • Strong working knowledge of APS systems (Infor or similar) and MRP/ERP tools
  • Proven experience working with complex, multi-level BOM's (8+ levels)
  • Skilled with data analysis and production tracking
  • Analytical mindset in solving production problems
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience in aerospace or another regulated industry
  • Familiarity with ISO AS9102 Rev D compliance standards
  • Infor Experience
  • Exposure to manual and mixed manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, paint, press)
  • Understanding of procurement flow and supply chain coordination
  • Experience helping a team transition from unconstrained to constrained planning
Why You'll Love Working Here:
We are a multi-generational team with members representing a diversity of cultures, educational backgrounds, experience levels and ideas all 'making it happen' from one location in beautiful, coastal South Florida. We are a long-standing supplier providing cutting edge products in support of long term aerospace programs, while at the same time developing new products to meet the needs of new customers, programs and up and coming markets.
Additionally, DG loves its employees! The average employee tenure is around 8 years. Length of service milestones are celebrated company-wide and employees may make selections of anniversary gifts.
Benefits
  • Affordable comprehensive insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision).
  • 401(k) match.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Mental health benefits.
  • Complimentary life insurance with the option for supplemental coverage.
  • Paid parental leave
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Excellent work-life balance.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
  • Access to advanced technology and resources.
  • Length of service/milestone anniversary gifts.
  • Team-building activities.
