RoleSummary

TheOperations Managerprovides leadership and supervision toanoperations teamworking forthe same value stream to create a world-class operations team. This includes, but is not limited to,managinginbound and,pick/ packoperations,and outbound shipments, andmaintaininginventory. The Operations Manager also ensures that departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement andsupportsalean culture ofinventory,people,and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable to client SLA agreements and site-specific quality and fulfillment targets.
  • Create and manageday to dayoperationalstrategyensuring the campusoperatesin a safe, and productive manner.
  • Actively contribute to the development of direct reports.
  • Full work weekresponsibility of clientorclients(including 2nd shift & weekend/donut shifts if applicable).
  • Lead Individual Performance Management program for area.
  • Responsible for planning, prioritizing, and communicating shift directives toensure efficiency, accuracy,and quality.
  • Interact with clients on operational topics.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, includingestablishingmetrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Deliver performance evaluations to direct reports and provide feedback asnecessary, including salariedmembers of management.
  • Promote and develop aculture of continuous improvementwithin the value stream.
  • Deliver productivityandimprovements in line with KPIs.
  • Own lean process improvement and CI initiatives.
  • Organizes and manages all necessary resourcesrequiredto improve safety, improve quality, increase customer service, and lower cost.
  • Ensure all training and skills development programs, along with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the value stream, are up to date andmaintained.
  • Promote a culture of high accountability, engagement, and associate empowerment.
  • Managerelationships with on-site seasonal staffing representatives andadvise the director of operations on seasonal labor needs.
  • Budget management for valuestream.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degreestronglypreferred /HS Degree or GEDrequired.
  • Experience working with process improvement ideologies, e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar / Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive Operations experience in a manager role.
  • Experience in creating productivity improvement through continuous improvement efforts.
  • Execution focused.
  • Ability to be flexible.
  • Awareness of internal customer requirements.
  • Analyze data toidentifydefects and root cause analysis.
  • Identifyprocess opportunities to create growth.
  • Performance oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

1st Shift Hours

Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm. Must be available to work 2nd shift as needed during peak season.
