Position Overview:
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a supply chain operation. This role requires a highly motivated, results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of both performance and team development. The Operations Manager provides overall direction and oversight in the areas of performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and associate development across multiple sites.
Location: West Jordan, UT
Work Schedule: Fri-Sun, Day Shift
Travel Specifics: 25%
Competitive Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $80,000-$90,000 plus a performance-based bonus
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and exceed customer expectations
  • Evaluate overall operations and develop short- and long-term goals that drive performance and accountability
  • Oversee all warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation operations to ensure company and customer requirements are met
  • Lead with a mindset of continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance service, efficiency, and profitability
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance across all teams
  • Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements
  • Own and manage budget and P&L for operations with a focus on results and cost control
  • Develop work plans that optimize staffing levels, control labor costs, and improve retention
  • Maximize quality and productivity by setting clear expectations, analyzing performance, and addressing gaps through coaching and development
  • Participate in the collection and review of performance metrics to drive informed decision-making
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports with a focus on performance outcomes and improvement opportunities
  • Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience to both associates and customers through strong leadership and engagement

Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years management experience and comprehensive knowledge in a high volume fast paced 3PL, distribution, warehouse, and transportation environment.
  • High volume e-commerce experience
  • Strong background in both inbound or outbound
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, WMS, and other metrics measurement tools.
  • Strong presentation, writing and speaking proficiency.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with ADP platforms, including WorkForce Now, WorkForce Manager, ADPRM helpful.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the operation's needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or Logistics or business-related field preferred.
  • 3PL experience.
