This position will be located located in Clearfield, UT. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You Will Get To Do The Manager, Production Operations IPT supports the ICBM Sustainment Integrated Product Team across all production operations functions, including planning, execution support, coordination, and continuous improvement.

This individual contributor role helps ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of ICBM sustainment work packages in Clearfield, Utah by partnering closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and program management. Position responsibilities include: Serve as the Production Operations representative within the ICBM Sustainment IPT, supporting planning and execution of production, refurbishment, and sustainment activities. Act as the integrating operations leader across the ICBM-S labs, coordinating with the assigned engineering lab managers.

Coordinate production operations inputs to program plans, schedules, and work packages, ensuring alignment with manufacturing capabilities and constraints. Support lab and shop floor execution by resolving issues related to work instructions, technical data, tooling, materials, and configuration control through coordination with functional organizations. Monitor and help drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, schedule adherence, labor efficiency, and productivity; identify risks and recommend mitigation actions.

Participate in root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for defects, non conformances, and process escapes; help implement corrective and preventive actions within production operations. Contribute to the development, review, and revision of work instructions, process documentation, and standard work for ICBM sustainment operations. Support production readiness activities, including planning for new or modified work, tooling, fixtures, training needs, and layout changes.

Collaborate with Global Supply Chain, Planning, and Material Management to address material procurement, receiving, kitting, and staging issues impacting production execution. This will require familiarity with FAR, DFAR, and MMAS requirements to ensure compliance. Support and help drive lean/continuous improvement initiatives (5S, waste reduction, flow improvements, visual management) within the ICBM sustainment value stream.

Ensure accurate time charging, labor reporting, and compliance with company and customer requirements related to production execution. Prepare and present production status, risks, and opportunities in IPT forums, internal reviews, and customer engagements, as needed. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 8 years of experience; 6 years with Master's. Experience in an aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated production or sustainment environment.

Familiarity with technical data packages, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and/or maintenance documentation (e.g., T.O.s). Experience collaborating in a cross functional environment (e.g., working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or Program Management). Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain an active U.S

Government DoD Secret security clearance Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule. Direct experience with ICBM, missile, launcher, or other strategic systems sustainment or production activities. Experience with ERP/MRP or manufacturing execution systems (e.g., SAP, MES) for managing work orders, materials, and labor

Demonstrated experience supporting or leading production process improvements, RCCA, or lean/continuous improvement projects. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve safety, quality, or schedule performance. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear status, risk, and issue briefings for IPT and leadership stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail and discipline in following procedures, documentation, and configuration control requirements. Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
