We are currently working with a family-owned manufacturing company seeking a Production Manager for their Madison, WI location. This is an opportunity to lead production operations in a well-established, employee-focused environment where your impact will directly support the delivery of high-quality products.
What's the role?
We are looking for a hands-on, results-driven leader who can oversee daily production while driving efficiency, quality, and team performance. This role offers ownership of the full production process-from planning and scheduling to execution, team leadership, and continuous improvement.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment and enjoys optimizing processes while developing and leading a team.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Plan, organize, and manage daily production schedules to ensure timely completion of products
  • Monitor production processes and adjust workflows as needed to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to ensure products meet specifications, materials, and quality standards
  • Partner with internal departments including customer service, purchasing, warehousing, and shipping
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Drive production efficiency and reduce waste through continuous improvement efforts
  • Analyze production data and provide reports to leadership
  • Lead and develop production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Facilitate daily and weekly production meetings
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies
