Job Responsibilities & Requirements


A Brief Overview
Manage and lead a production area in order to meet safety, quality, customer experience, production output and cost control objectives directly and through supervisors. Provide direction and leadership to the facility/area operations. May also involve developing manpower requirements, identifying potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action, and supervising the performance of program functional task elements such as quality assurance, safety, and training.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure safety compliance in the assigned area and in accordance with company requirements and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs including physically checking production and assisting with machine set-ups.
  • Consistently lead teams to meet production and/or shipping goals to meet or exceed customer demand.
  • Coordinate and oversee training for safety and manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels necessary to create production plans in order to meet requirements.
  • Direct, assist and evaluate supervisors and production associates in both daily and long term requirements and goals.
  • Ability to interact professionally with others including co-workers, vendors and customers.
  • Ability to prioritize issues, analyze situations and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Monitors and maintains efficiencies to achieve best cost and on-time delivery.
  • Review and approve employee time and schedules, including overtime management.
  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assists with Capital Expenditure planning to improve safety and operational efficiencies.
  • Assists with equipment troubleshooting and communications with maintenance on needs.

Qualifications

  • Associates Related Field required
  • 5+ Years of manufacturing management and/or production planning experience required
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
  • Strong skills and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems required. SAP S4/Hana experience preferred.

Additional Requirements
5% of time traveling as necessary for training, meetings, and to assist other facilities.

Physical Demands
This role is primarily performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. As part of the essential functions of this role, the individual will need to access a factory and be exposed to temperature changes. This may will result in being exposed to noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes and navigate around factory machines.
