Large Wholesale Printing Company located in Mandeville, Louisiana is seeking to hire a Full-Time Production Manager.
Previous experience in the printing industry a plus. Position is Monday - Friday. 7:30AM - 5:00PM. Occasional Over-time for After Hours, Nights and Weekends as requested.
POSITION OUTLINE OF DUTIES:
  • Responsible for all jobs being produced in a quality manner, while conserving materials.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and print due dates.
  • Supervise production staff's schedules, rules and procedures. Enforce procedures.
  • Cross training staff.
  • Organize workflow for maximum efficiency. Maximize production.
  • Oversee and participate in quality packaging.
  • Order materials through Operations Manager and shop supplies - maintain current stock and inventory count.
  • Notify management of any production and equipment problems that may need further attention.
  • Oversee Quality Control program in conjunction with team including color management.
  • Make sure all jobs are produced with no errors or issues.
  • Oversee maintenance and shop improvements.
  • Log all maintenance issues on each equipment.
  • Schedule all necessary equipment service calls.
  • Give notice to management when temporary help is needed i.e.: fulfillment, finished etc.
  • Schedule overtime, night or weekend labor to keep shop ahead of production schedule.
  • Practice and create new and faster production idea policy and procedures.
  • Work with all software files.
  • Estimate production time on jobs and shipping for sales.
  • Keep production area organized and overall detail cleaning weekly.
  • Assist with production in all areas as needed.
  • Supervisor employees for not meeting proper rules, and punctuality guidelines.
  • Set example to all other employees. Maintain a positive attitude and approach towards all aspects on the position.

Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
