Job description

The AM Senior Bakery Production Manager oversees all first shift baking and production operations within our high volume bakery production facility. This role is committed to uncompromising quality and craftsmanship while ensuring all products are prepared according to Tatte specifications and all production is executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The AM Senior Bakery Production Manager partners closely with bakery leadership to support production operations, team development, food safety, inventory systems, equipment oversight, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This role also plays an important part in cultivating a safe, organized, and high performing work environment for all bakery team members.

We are looking for leaders who thrive in fast paced production environments, lead with accountability and empathy, and are passionate about developing strong teams while maintaining exceptional product quality and operational standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We expect our AM Senior Bakery Production Managers to:

  • Lead with professionalism, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Maintain high standards for product quality, consistency, cleanliness, and food safety
  • Support and develop bakery team members through coaching, accountability, and leadership
  • Promote a safe, organized, and team oriented work environment

  • Have flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Ensure products consistently meet Tatte recipe, quality, and production standards
  • Create and manage timely bakery team schedules
  • Direct first shift production teams to execute production tasks safely and efficiently
  • Oversee quality control processes for baking, finishing, packaging, and fulfillment operations
  • Maintain safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout the bakery in compliance with company, local, state, and federal regulations
  • Support staffing, onboarding, development, and accountability of hourly bakery team members
  • Partner with bakery leadership to support operational planning, labor management, and waste reduction
  • Maintain strong working relationships with bakery and café leadership teams
  • Support ongoing coaching, evaluation, and development of bakery team members
  • Participate in management meetings and support communication of operational updates and initiatives
  • Maintain understanding of and follow crisis management procedures
  • Other related assignments as necessary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time throughout shifts
  • Ability to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work morning shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume production environment

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of management experience within high volume bakery or food production environments
  • Ability or willingness to learn bakery manufacturing equipment including deck ovens, proofers, rack ovens, and fryers
  • Ability to multitask effectively within fast paced production environments
  • Ability to lead and develop teams through professional and empathetic leadership

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Experience building and mentoring high performing teams
  • Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
